HONG KONG.- In celebration of its 40th anniversary in Asia, Christie's announces two live watch auctions this November: The Iconic 40 Watches Evening Sale on 25 November and the Important Watches Sale on 26 November, during Hong Kong Luxury Week. Featuring more than 300 exceptional vintage and contemporary timepieces from leading names including Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, F.P. Journe and Richard Mille, the sales are led by Kronos: Titans of Time Collection, one of the most important single-owner watch collections ever offered by Christie's. With a combined low estimate exceeding HK$330 million, the two auctions represent the highest-ever seasonal total estimate for the watches category in Asia. The sales showcase the artistry, innovation, rarity and craftsmanship that define the pinnacle of horological collecting.

Grand Complications: Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Ref. 6002 and 5002

First Time Two Landmark Grand Complications Appear in One Auction

Leading the sales is the unprecedented offering of both the Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Ref. 6002G and its legendary predecessor, the Ref. 5002R, marking the first time these two landmark Grand Complications have appeared together at auction. Featuring 12 complications, dual dials, a minute repeater with cathedral gongs and astronomical indications, the pair represents the pinnacle of Patek Philippe's technical and artistic achievement. While the Ref. 6002 is celebrated for its extraordinary hand-engraving and enamel craftsmanship, the ultra-rare rose gold Ref. 5002R, one of only 25 examples produced, remains one of the manufacture's most iconic creations. Together, they present a rare opportunity to acquire two of the most important grand complications in modern horology.

Both timepieces are from the Kronos: Titans of Time Collection, one of the most important single-owner watch collections ever offered by Christie's, comprises 23 extraordinary timepieces with a combined low estimate exceeding HK$100 million. Following a successful debut during Christie's Spring Luxury Week in May 2026, the remaining 18 masterpieces will be offered this November, presenting collectors with a rare opportunity to acquire watches distinguished by exceptional craftsmanship, innovation and historical significance.

The Mastery of F.P. Journe: Independent Watchmaking Excellence

Among the anniversary sales is a celebration of F.P. Journe, an independent watchmaker whose relentless pursuit of precision, innovation and craftsmanship has earned him a place among the most influential figures in modern horology. Illustrating this remarkable legacy is an exceptional group of watches spanning some of the manufacture's most celebrated creations, led by the ultra-rare Tourbillon Souverain with Ruby Dial, one of only 20 platinum examples ever produced. Distinguished by its striking ruby hardstone dial, no two examples are exactly alike, while its combination of a one-minute tourbillon and remontoir d'égalité exemplifies F.P. Journe's technical mastery.

Other highlights include an early Chronomètre à Résonance “Pre-Souscription”, preserved in remarkably untouched condition and representing one of the earliest expressions of Journe's pioneering resonance technology; the rare transitional Octa Lune 05L, documenting an important chapter in the brand's evolution; and the boutique-exclusive Centigraphe Souverain “Black Label”, celebrated for its extraordinary ability to measure 1/100th of a second.

Patek Philippe: Rare Gem-Set Masterpieces

Beyond diamond-set watches, this season's anniversary sales present an exceptional selection of highly rare sapphire, emerald and ruby-set timepieces that exemplify the finest achievements in both haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie. Among the highlights are the exceedingly rare Patek Philippe Ref. 5271/13P-001, a platinum perpetual calendar chronograph adorned with 80 baguette-cut emeralds and produced in only a very limited number for the manufacture's most distinguished clients; the Patek Philippe Ref. 6104/12G-010 Celestial, a possibly unique and previously unknown configuration featuring a white gold case paired with a ruby-set bezel; and the Patek Philippe Ref. 5130P/13P-010, an exceptionally rare emerald-set World Time. This is only the second piece ever to appear at auction, 10 years after Christie's offered the very first example.

Cartier: Icons of Design and Rarity

Further enriching the anniversary sales is an exceptional selection of Cartier creations, led by a magnificent gem-set Mystery Clock and three highly sought-after Cartier Crash watches. The offering also includes two rare Tank models: a Tank Normale featuring a lapis lazuli dial and an exceptionally rare Tank Américaine set with a buff-top sapphire bezel. These remarkable works highlight Cartier's enduring legacy of creativity, craftsmanship and iconic design, and underscore the maison's growing appeal among collectors worldwide.
