LONDON.- The Royal Air Force Museum London has once again been awarded the prestigious Sandford Award, recognising the quality and impact of its learning and engagement programme. The independently judged quality mark for heritage learning assesses education provision at heritage sites across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Having previously achieved the award in 2021, the Museum’s renewed five-year accreditation provides independent recognition of a programme spanning History, STEM, Early Years and SEND, with workshops and resources designed around schools’ learning outcomes and the National Curriculum. The Sandford Award scheme is managed by the Heritage Education Trust in partnership with Lincoln Bishop University and supported by Historic Royal Palaces.

Whether exploring the awe inspiring aircraft, stories of those who served, taking a thrilling ride with the Red Arrows in the 4D theatre or simply having fun in the aircraft themed play areas, the RAF Museum fulfils its vision to inspire everyone with the RAF story, the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
