MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.-ART MELBOURNE 07, now in its fourth year will take place at the Royal Exhibition Building, April 20 – 22 and promises art lovers an assortment of new experiences and exciting highlights.

Bringing together over 100 galleries from around Australia and over 800 artists, ART MELBOURNE 07 continues to allow art enthusiasts to view, learn about and buy the art they love in an enjoyable and relaxed environment. Offering thousands of original paintings, sculpture, printworks, drawings, ceramics, indigenous works and much more from as little as $100, ART MELBOURNE 07 ensures that 75% of work at the show is under $5000, making it available to a wide audience.

Emerging talent has been a focus for Art Melbourne since its inception and this April will be no exception with the RENAULT NEW GENERATION ART and OFF THE WALL IN ASSOCIATION WITH BELLE exhibitions. This year the RENAULT NEW GENERATION ART comprises 20 of the hottest up-and-coming artists from around the country as picked by art critics, and the introduction of the RENAULT NEW GENERATION ART PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD; a competition whereby art lovers get to be the judge, choosing their favourite emerging talent. OFF THE WALL IN ASSOCIATION WITH BELLE is a platform for new, independent artists selected from thousands, to be showcased and given the incredible opportunity to be seen by a large audience, as well as the possibility of being signed by a commercial gallery. The ever popular ART WALKS will also return, with art experts from a variety of fields sharing their passion and wisdom as they walk and talk art lovers through their favourite artists.

ART MELBOURNE 07 kicks off with the exclusive ‘First Night’ of art and entertainment on Thursday 19th April. This special preview night was created to provide Victoria’s art lovers, both beginners and collectors, with the chance to view the extensive range of galleries and artists taking part in ART MELBOURNE 07 before the fair officially opens the following day while enjoying complimentary drinks and live music. For the first time, ART MELBOURNE 07 will open its doors until 9pm for an evening viewing on the night of Friday 20th April.

A thriving hub of creativity and fun, ART MELBOURNE 07 is the place to be from April 20 – 22 with highlights including the ‘Off the Wall in association with Belle’ and ‘Renault New Generation Art’ areas for emerging talent, celebrity artist appearances, educational presentations from leading Australian and international art experts and much, much more.
