WINTER PARK, FL.- The Rollins Museum of Art announces the annual reinstallation of its Alfond Collection of Contemporary art at The Alfond Inn, introducing newly acquired artwork and first-time installations that reflect the Museum's continued commitment to building a globally significant collection.

As the only hotel in the United States designed as a living extension of an art museum, The Alfond Inn offers guests a unique opportunity to experience artwork by internationally renowned artists throughout its public spaces. Curated by the Rollins Museum of Art, these dynamic installations transform the philanthropic boutique hotel into an accessible cultural destination where visitors can engage with contemporary art every day of the year.

The 2026 reinstallation features nearly 140 works, including a newly acquired painting by celebrated Iranian-American artist Kamrooz Aram alongside six works appearing at The Alfond Inn for the first time by internationally recognized artists Myrlande Constant, Rodrigo Facundo, Danh Võ, Zanele Muholi, Mary Grigoriadis, and Deborah Poynton.

There are over 600 works in the Museum’s Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art, which are on display at the Museum facility on the Rollins College campus and The Alfond Inn. The Museum also lends works of art to significant exhibitions organized by museums around the world. Currently, works from the Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art are on view at the National Portrait Gallery, London, the Colby College Museum of Art in Maine, and Remai Modern, Saskatoon.

"This reinstallation gives us an opportunity to share works from the Museum’s growing collection that haven’t been on view. Our partnership with The Alfond Inn allows us to extend the reach of the Museum’s collection beyond our walls, giving visitors to the greater Orlando area and local residents another opportunity to experience works by some of the most significant artists of our time,” said Leslie Anderson, Bruce A. Beal Executive Director of the Rollins Museum of Art.

The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art was built for Rollins College to introduce students to the ideas explored by living artists and accessioned into the Museum’s collection. As part of this design, several of the works are installed at The Alfond Inn transforming it into an art hotel. All works on view are part of the Rollins Museum of Art's permanent collection. The Museum's professional staff curates, interprets, conserves, and cares for each artwork according to the highest museum standards, ensuring that visitors experience works of lasting artistic and cultural significance.

Every stay at The Alfond Inn supports student scholarships at Rollins College, with all hotel profits directed back to the College. Guests and community members are invited to explore the rotating collection throughout the hotel's public spaces during regular hours. With the construction of the Museum’s new facility next to The Alfond Inn, the connection between the Museum and Inn will grow even stronger.

“One of the things that makes The Alfond Inn unique is the partnership between the Museum and the Inn. The Museum brings its expertise in selecting, interpreting, programming, and caring for the art in its collection, while our team focuses on creating a welcoming environment and memorable experiences for our guests. Together, we are able to offer something truly special,” said Michael Briggs, General Manager of The Alfond Inn, which is an entity of Rollins College and operated by Olympia Hospitality.

To celebrate the new installation, a guided Happy Hour Tour is being offered at The Alfond Inn on Wednesday, August 5. Led by the Museum’s Senior Curator, Dr. Gisela Carbonell, the tour will offer guests an inside look at the newly installed works, recent acquisitions, and the stories behind the artists featured throughout the hotel.
