NYC Electronic Foundations Meet UK Indie
While lomipo is a deeply collaborative effort, "Since '20" shines a clear spotlight on Orian's technical and creative contributions. Orian serves as lomipo's principal producer and musical director, responsible for defining the duo's artistic direction and sonic identity. Drawing from his extensive background as a live drummer in the NYC music scene, he translates that organic rhythmic energy directly into the studio. Rather than relying solely on programmed electronic beats, Orian anchors the track with complex, live-feel drum arrangements and oversees the mix engineering, which balances their heavy synth textures with a polished, driving physical groove.
To complete the sonic landscape, they partnered with a UK-based songwriter and guitarist, Konrad Solms. The collaboration seamlessly blends lomipo’s dense production style with Konrad's British indie guitar sensibilities, resulting in a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
