SAO PAULO, BRAZIL.- The Spanish Ministry of Culture and the ICO Foundation have presented the Spanish pavilion at the XXV Biennial of Art of Sao Paulo. The secretary of the International Cooperation, Miguel Courteous Angel, the Director of the ICO Foundation and the artist, Rogelio López Basin have presented to the press, at the auditorium of the ICO Foundation, the artistic project with which Spain participates in the biennial. Coordinated by the General Direction of Scientific and Cultural Relations, the State Department usually organizes the participation of Spain in the Biennial of Art of Sao Paulo. In this occasion, it has associated itself with the ICO Foundation, to support the Spanish participation sponsoring this event, in order to promote the development and the diffusion of Spanish Culture inside and outside of our country. The main theme of the biennial for this edition (from March 23 to June 2) is "Metropolitan Iconographies" and Rogelio López Basin has been the invited artist to occupy Spain's place in the biennial. The 50th anniversary of the biennial of Sao Paulo will feature more than 60 participating countries.
