DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions announced the appointment of Brian P. Fornesi as Consignments & Business Development Managing Director, Northern California. A 30-year veteran of the collectibles industry and a lifelong Bay Area resident, Fornesi will lead Heritage's continued growth throughout Silicon Valley and the North Bay, strengthening the company's relationships with collectors, estates and fiduciaries across the region.

Fornesi specializes in high-value comic books and original art and has handled some of the hobby's most iconic material over the course of his career. In his new role, he will serve as Heritage's senior representative in Northern California, offering world-class appraisal and consignment services across the company's more than 50 categories, from fine art and luxury accessories to sports memorabilia and historical artifacts.

"Brian brings deep expertise, long-standing relationships and an authentic collector's perspective to this important region," says Jim Halperin, Heritage's co-founder and Co-Chairman. "Northern California is home to a sophisticated and passionate collecting community. Brian's integrity, experience and personal commitment to clients make him an ideal ambassador for Heritage as we expand our footprint there."

A proud Peninsula native, Fornesi was born and raised in the Bay Area and built his professional life serving the community. He founded Fornesi Insurance Agency in Burlingame, where for more than three decades he developed a reputation for ethical asset management and relationship-driven service. As Owner and Principal Broker, he protected the homes, businesses and collections of thousands of clients, earning industry recognition including the Soaring Eagle Award, Topper Club and Commercial Agent of the Year.

That "old school" approach to trust and long-term relationships now underpins his work at Heritage.

"I've always believed that whether you're protecting a home, a business or a treasured collection, my job begins with honesty," Fornesi says. "Collectors want transparency, expertise and global reach, and that's exactly what Heritage provides. I'm proud to represent the world's largest and most trusted collectibles auctioneer, right here in the community that shaped me."

A collector since childhood, Fornesi shares the same passion that drives many of his clients. He has been an active comic book collector for more than 30 years and has long pursued objects that tell powerful stories, from World War II medals to Old West derringers, as well as sports cards and other modern classics. That lifelong enthusiasm informs his approach to serving consignors, blending market knowledge with a genuine appreciation for the history and craftsmanship behind each object.

Under Fornesi's leadership, clients in Northern California will have permanent, free access to Heritage's global auction platform and advanced digital resources, including the company's proprietary portfolio management tool that allows collectors to track, manage and consign holdings seamlessly. The combination of local expertise and international reach positions Heritage to serve the Bay Area's technology-forward and financially sophisticated clientele at the highest level.

Heritage has long maintained strong relationships with collectors throughout California, and Fornesi's appointment marks a significant step in deepening the firm's presence in the region as it continues to invest in expanded client services.

"Our goal is simple," Halperin says. "To provide even more Northern California collectors with the same level of service, scholarship and results that have made Heritage the global leader in the auction industry."

Fornesi has already assumed his role and is actively meeting with collectors and professional advisors throughout Silicon Valley and the North Bay.
