ANTWERP.- Auctim is organizing an exceptional online auction of modern and contemporary art. The collection includes international masterpieces by artists such as Lita Cabellut and Matteo Pugliese, as well as unique objects from the history of cinema and Belgian heritage, including original parts of the Atomium.
With this auction, Auctim is putting the spotlight on a collection that bridges the gap between international contemporary art and iconic pop culture. The absolute highlight is Girl with tattoo (Lot 1), an impressive canvas from the Corals series by world-famous Spanish artist Lita Cabellut.
International masterpieces and monumental paintings
The core of the auction consists of powerful, figurative, and abstract works. In addition to Cabellut's masterpiece, there are striking contributions from Arne Quinze, with the work Rock Strangers (Lot 47), and the expressive style of Princess Delphine. Her works Love me, love me not - Xtra Xtra glitzy kisses, The future frightens me and Love always wins will be offered, among others. French muralist Thierry Noir is also represented with a characteristic work: I think about what I have done today, I can't believe it. So much already and it's so early! (Lot 66).
Contemporary visions in sculpture and photography
In addition to paintings, three-dimensional works occupy a prominent place. The auction features an impressive series of sculptures in bronze and marble, including Vertigo II (Lot 29) and Il segreto - The Secret by Italian master Matteo Pugliese. The collection also includes sculptural work by Thomas Lerooy (James, Lot 44) and the colorful pop art of Loes van Delft (The winner takes it all, Lot 40).
The photography section is also of international caliber, led by the tranquil images of the late master Marc Lagrange with the work The eye (Lot 48).
Rare collectibles as a modern statement
As a unique addition to the art collection, the auction includes several objects that bridge the gap between art and cultural heritage. These pieces, including original facade elements from the Atomium (Lots 20 & 21) and exclusive James Bond film memorabilia (Casino Royale), are presented as conversation pieces that add an extra historical dimension to a modern interior. The buyer of the original film chips will also receive a reference work signed by Daniel Craig and the producers.
Exclusive experience in the Art Lobby at Auctim
To enable visitors to experience the quality and scale of the works including canvases measuring over 2.5 meters in person, Auctim is organizing an exclusive viewing. On Thursday, 26 February, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the key pieces will be presented in an atmospheric art lobby on location in Antwerp.
