Fiber Optics showcases nationally recognized quilt artists in this vibrant and lush collection, perfect for warding off the chill of a Wisconsin winter. These artists tweak typical geometric formats, experiment with amplified colors, and offer new techniques and designs, stretching traditional notions of quilting. Angela Moll pulls passages from her own personal journals, enlarging and layering the cursive text in large format quilts that resemble the open pages of a book. Marilyn Henrion combines silky metallic fabric with floral prints to create swirly abstractions that resemble rich modernist oil paintings.
