MEXICO CITY.- Artist Feliciano Béjar, 86, died in Mexico City. He was born in Jiquilpan, Michoacán, in 1920. He was a prolific artist that had around 120 exhibitions. At least 75 of his works are part of the collections in important museums and galleries all over the world. His last work was a series of 120 Magiscopes commissioned by an insurance company. The First Press of America at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), was the last place where his works were exhibited (November 2006 January 19, 2007. The exhibition presented works made by the artist between 2003 and 2004. This 2007 would have been the 60th anniversary of his exhibition in New York, which caused a sensation as he broke with tradition.
