| Cesar Pelli Design Chosen For Tallest Building in Andalucia |
SEVILLE, SPAIN.- The design submitted by architect Cesar Pelli for a 178 meter-tower in Puerto Triana has been chosen by its board. Puerto Triana strives to be the financial center of Seville, with the support of the city and the Cajas de Ahorro El Monte and Caja San Fernando. The center will be made up of a tall office building, a museum, commercial areas, and green areas. A pedestrian walkway will also be included. The building that will be designed by Cesar Pelli will be located next to the Omnimax movie theatre that was torn down in 2006 to develop this project. The tower will measure 178 meters high, which would make it the tallest in Andalucía and a new symbol of 21st century Seville.
