NEW YORK, NY.- Christie's Handbags announced its final online auction of the season: Handbags Online – The New York Edit. The Susie Hoimes Collection: The Art of Costume Jewelry is an extraordinary assemblage of haute couture costume jewelry, curated by the visionary behind MDVII—San Francisco's hidden gem for vintage glamour. Located in Russian Hill, MDVII became a destination for rare and elegant pieces from Chanel, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, and other iconic designers. Susie's refined aesthetic was shaped by her global travels, drawing inspiration from African textiles, Venetian glass, and the natural beauty of Mombasa's beaches. Her boutique reflected a deep knowledge of craftsmanship and an eclectic sensibility that attracted fashion insiders from San Francisco to Montecito, New York to London.

Susie Hoimes comments: “Collecting has always been part of my life—my father was a collector, and I began building my own collection at a young age. Over time, as my eye and taste evolved, I refined the pieces I acquired, curating a selection that reflects both quality and artistry. I'm thrilled for the next generation of collectors to discover and enjoy these cherished treasures.”

The collection includes over 40 pieces from Chanel dating from the 1930s to the 1950s, Pierre Cardin from 1969, and Yves Saint Laurent from 1976.
