BREVARD.- The Brevard Museum of Art and Science For the Love of Art II through December 10. Continuing a successful tradition, For the Love of Art II is a special exhibition/fundraiser of selected professional artists with deep commitments to their creative calling and corresponding artworks from collectors who support the Museum.
The Brevard Museum of Art and Science is located in Old Eau Gallie, one of Brevard County's historic districts and one block from the Indian River. The focal point of an ever-expanding artistic and cultural center, Brevard Museum of Art is committed to the creation, exhibition, collection, preservation and appreciation of the visual arts.
The Brevard Museum of Art and Science opened its doors on March 14, 1978, with three galleries in 4,500 square feet of exhibition space. In 1986, a considerably larger contemporary museum space was attained which houses seven spacious galleries, encompassing more than 7,000 square feet. The Museum complex includes the Harris Auditorium, two Museum Shops, the Foosaner Educational Wing, Science Center and Art Museum.
The Brevard Museum of Art and Science features exhibitions by internationally and nationally known artists as well as Florida artists representing a variety of styles, periods, and media.
