NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s has promoted Julien Pradels to its new Regional President of the Americas.

In this role, Pradels—the company’s current Global Head of Operations— will be responsible for leading and driving the strategic direction, business growth, and operational success of the auction house across both North and South America. He will assume the role in the spring, succeeding Bonnie Brennan, who was named CEO of Christie’s in February 2025.

Pradels has held a variety of leadership positions in Europe, Asia, and now the Americas in his 14 years at Christie’s, focusing on regional strategies, client development, client relationships, and the management of the business across the globe day-to-day. Among his many accomplishments, Pradels has led global efforts to modernize the business, was instrumental in launching Christie’s first auction sale in Shanghai, and continues to lead the company’s robust sustainability program, ensuring that Christie’s can meet its ambitious targets, implement innovative initiatives, and help drive positive change across the wider industry.

Pradels will report to CEO Bonnie Brennan and strive to continue her strong work as Regional President of the Americas from 2021 to 2025. During her time in the role the region grew materially and now accounts for 48% of all auction sales.

“Julien’s extensive knowledge of our business and clients, along with his leadership qualities, resourcefulness, professionalism, collaborative style, and creativity make him an ideal fit to lead the Americas region,” said Christie’s CEO Bonnie Brennan. “I am so pleased to have such a wonderful and dedicated colleague in this role, leading a world-class team of specialists and staff to drive our sales calendar, build client relationships, oversee the ambitious renovation of our New York home at Rockefeller Center, and continue to develop innovative initiatives and solutions to support our work. I know Julien well, and he is a person who always maintains the utmost respect for our clients, his colleagues and the business, while continuing to push our business forward.”

“I am so proud to take on the role of Regional President of the Americas,” said Julien Pradels. “I have admired the extraordinary work of the Americas team for years, appreciating their energy, innovation, and creative mindset. It is an honor to lead a dedicated team of experts that has been an inspiration to all of Christie’s and to the art world for so long. I look forward to continuing my work innovating, collaborating, and bringing colleagues together, as I know that is best way for us to stay strong, grow, and make positive change. I so appreciate the opportunity.”
