Christie's opens new Asia Pacific headquarters at 'The Henderson' in Hong Kong

HONG KONG.- On 20 September, Christie’s officially unveiled its new Asia Pacific headquarters at The Henderson, an iconic new landmark in Central, Hong Kong, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Spanning 50,000 square feet across the 6th to 9th floors, Christie’s new world-class space offers a year-round calendar of art and luxury sales and experiences, serving collectors and audiences worldwide with state-of-the-art galleries, salerooms, dedicated client spaces, and offices, all in one centralised location.

With this significant investment, Christie’s is ideally positioned to meet the increasing market demand for art and luxury from the region as well as globally, affirming the business’ leadership in and commitment to Asia, and to Hong Kong. The meticulously curated sales offer a dynamic dialogue between masterpieces from the East and West, reaffirming Hong Kong's position as a powerhouse in the global art market.

The first live auction, of the esteemed Au Bak Ling Collection, will be followed by the 20th / 21st Century sales on 26 and 27 September, featuring masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Zao Wou-Ki, and Kim Whan-Ki . A dedicated Luxury sales from 22 - 30 October will present the finest and rarest luxury collectibles, offering collectors unparalleled access and exclusive experiences. The Asian Art sales from 27 – 29 November will showcase the breadth and depth of Christie’s expertise in this dynamic category.

To mark this momentous occasion, a ribbon cutting ceremony was officiated by Mr. François Pinault from Group Artémis and the Director of the Christie's Board, Guillaume Cerutti, CEO of Christie’s, and Francis Belin, President of Christie’s Asia Pacific.
