LONDON, ENGLAND.- Christie’s will present The Society of Equestrian Artists 23rd Annual Exhibition, 23-26 July 2002. Each summer Christie’s hosts one of the largest exhibitions of Equestrian Art in Europe. The exhibition will be opened by The Lord Oaksey O.B.E. and will feature some of the world’s finest equestrian art.

The society was established in 1979 with the aim of encouraging the study of equine art and to promote a standard of excellence worthy of the subjects’ importance in British artistic traditions. The Membership has grown to include international artists.

An enlarged exhibition in celebration of the Queens Golden Jubilee will feature a number of paintings and sculpture depicting the Royal Family’s great love of horses.
