A Birdview: Miao Xiaochun's Solo Exhibition.
|
SHANGHAI, CHINA.- The Zhu Qizhan Art Museum presents A Birdview: Miao Xiaochun's Solo Exhibition, on view August 16th -- 31st 2006. This display showcases Beijing-based Miao Xiaochun's latest works including The Last Judgment which was translated, via computer software, from Michelangelos fresco in Sistine Chapel into a 3-demensioned world. Miaos Judgment challenges the way people view and consider a painting, and in the meanwhile this ambitious piece addresses international issues that artist is concerned about.
Miao Xiaochun is now teaching at Photography and Digital Media Department, Central Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been widely exhibited in museums, galleries and biennales, such as Victoria and Albert Museum, Art Forum Berlin, ZKM Karlsruhe, Shanghai Biennale, etc.
