FORT WORTH, TX.-The Kimbell Art Museum has launched a new Web site,
www.TheLostImpressionist.com , to
promote the special exhibition Gauguin and Impressionism. The Web site,
designed by Crowley Webb and Associates in Buffalo, New York, gives visitors
an overview of this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition, including pictures of
works from the exhibition, biographical material on Paul Gauguin, and images
of works in Gauguin¹s own collection, among other information.
Visitors to the Web site are also able to purchase tickets, become members
of the Museum, and register for workshops and other events related to the
exhibition. Press releases and biographical information on Gauguin are also
available.
The first exhibition ever to focus on Gauguin as a member of the
Impressionist group, Gauguin and Impressionism will be seen in the U.S. only
at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth from December 18, 2005 to March 26,
2006. The exhibition has been organized by the Kimbell Art Museum and
Ordrupgaard, Copenhagen. It is supported by an indemnity from the Federal
Council on the Arts and the Humanities. Promotional support for this
exhibition in Fort Worth is provided by American Airlines, the Fort Worth
Star-Telegram, and NBC5.
