LONDON.- Ladbroke Hall in Notting Hill will present a new stage on which to experience creative expression in its many forms: contemporary art, collectible design, culture, dining and music. The reimagined 43,000 square foot space will be a meeting place celebrating creative freedom. Connecting to the renewed cultural vitality in the area, Ladbroke Hall will open to the public, friends, patrons and collaborators in spring 2023.

Ladbroke Hall is steered by Loïc Le Gaillard and Julien Lombrail, founders of Carpenters Workshop Gallery, the global leading gallery in collectible design and functional art whose London gallery space will now be based in Ladbroke Hall with its other galleries in Paris, New York and Los Angeles. Childhood friends, Le Gaillard and Lombrail, have called on several of their closest collaborators to help them realise their vision for Ladbroke Hall, featuring:

A CULTURAL EVENT PROGRAMME: offering intimate and immersive experiences: unplugged music, performance, talks, masterclasses and supper clubs

CARPENTERS WORKSHOP GALLERY’S NEW LONDON: Flagship designed by Adjaye Associates, plus subterranean exhibition space by architect Nicolas Schuybroek

A RESTAURANT: by Chef Emanuele Pollini, voted Gambero Rosso Chef of the year in 2020, designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis, including new commissions by Nacho Carbonell and Sir Christopher Le Brun PPRA

A RECORDING STUDIO: in partnership with Miraval studios

PRIVATE SALONS: by Ingrid Donat and Vincenzo de Cotiis and rooftop terrace BY Robert Stadler.

LAMYLAND, A PATRON BAR AND LOUNGE: by Michèle Lamy and Rick Owens

A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIO: (former Sunbeam Studios)

12,500 SQUARE FOOT HIDDEN GARDEN: landscaped by Chelsea flower show winner, Luciano Giubbilei, with outdoor restaurant and a private dining pavilion by Jean Prouvé

SOUNDSCAPE DESIGN: by Bang & Olufsen

Loïc Le Gaillard, co-founder of Ladbroke Hall, says ‘For years we have been exploring new ways to set a stage for creative freedom. Ladbroke Hall will be a new playground to explore creativity in all its forms and meet interesting people. It’s part of our DNA to push and blur the lines between the many artistic disciplines.’

Julien Lombrail, co-founder of Ladbroke Hall, adds ‘We wanted to create a holistic place transcended by different artistic visions - a Gesamtkunstwerk. With Ladbroke Hall we’re realising our vision of a temple for the arts where we want to spend time.’

Ladbroke Hall has been intricately restored and renovated over the past three years. Formerly the Sunbeam Talbot Motorworks HQ which was built in 1903, parts of the Grade II listed building have been redeveloped by Adjaye Associates. They have retained the building’s original fabric and enriched it with pared back exhibition spaces.

As part of Ladbroke Hall’s vision, a community programme will be a central part of its ethos. It will collaborate with established local artists and youth initiatives in the field of art, design, music and dining for education and mentoring opportunities.
