Grand Museum of Egypt Design Unveiled |

CAIRO, EGYPT.- The Egyptian government has unveiled the design for the Grand Museum of Egypt. The museum will house King Tuts mummy and treasures together with thousands of other artifacts. The Grand Museum , with its new concept of exhibition, using spacious indoors and outdoors display areas, it's huge and chronologically arranged collection of artifacts, has finally provided famous King Tutankhamun a Grand House to exhibit his timeless treasures mounting to about 3850 artifacts. More than half of King Tut's collection is still being preserved in storerooms since Howard Carter discovered his tomb in 1922. At last, King Tut and his belongings will be exhibited within adequate space telling his story to the world of how and where he was discovered with, photos showing various steps of this great discovery, one of high significance in the history of civilizations.
This Grand House of King Tut is among the attraction points that aim to encourage tourists to stay longer in Egypt by visiting the museum, and this unique collection (the best preserved and most complete among the Pharos of Egypt) more than once, hence acting as an incentive to extend tourists' stay in the Greater Cairo area.
