What do you need for making a milk carton die box?

You need to have the following supplies for making it:

● Card stock or scrapbook paper
● Scoring board (Note: You can use an embossing tool and a ruler as well if you don’t have a scoring board)
● Scissors
● A glue stick or a double-sided tape
● Some mini blinder clips or mini wooden pegs for making the perfect milk carton die box.

NOTE: For those who don’t know what a scoring board is, it’s used to get nice crisp folds in papercraft. Because it has grooves you can score every 1/8 inch. If you don’t have one, EK Tools Standard Scoring Board and Bira Craft Scoring Board are two recommended scoring boards to buy.

How to make a milk carton die box?

For making it follow the steps listed below:

1. First, take your card stock or a piece of scrapbook paper. Now, score lines at 2.5 inches, 5 inches, 7.5 inches, 10 inches, and 10.5 inches by using either an embossing tool and a ruler or a scoring board.
2. After that, turn your paper 90 degrees.
3. Now, you have to score lines again. But, this time at 2.5 inches, 5 inches, 6.5 inches, and 7 inches.
4. Now, you need to trim the paper to size. Remember, the trimmed paper should measure 7 inches long and 10.5 inches wide.
5. After that, crease along the score lines. To get a sharp crease, you need to run a bone folder over the folds. And, if you don’t have a bone folder, a butter knife can also work.
6. Now, you have to make the flaps that’ll form the bottom of your box. For that, cut along the score lines from the base of your paper up to the 2.5-inch mark.
7. After doing that, cut away the narrow side tab.
8. Fold your paper now.
9. Then, glue the side tab down to make a tube. You can also use double-sided tape instead of a glue stick.
10. Now, apply glue or tape to the top of 3 of the bottom flaps.
11. To form the base now, you have to fold each one on top of the other.
12. The last flap you fold down should be the one without any tape.
13. Now, take your box and pinch on the sides gently. Your milk carton die box should fold in easily. It won’t get too much folded in because of the scored lines.
14. To keep the top of your box closed, you can use a bulldog pig or a mini peg.
