20th Annual London International Awards |

NEW YORK and LONDON.- Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the London International Awards President, Barbara Levy, has recently announced the Jury Presidents and Call for Entries for 2005. Entry forms are available only online at http://www.liaawards.com and the deadline for entries is Monday 6th June, 2005. LIA honours Below the Line/Collateral, Integrated Media, Interactive, Package Design, Poster/Outdoor, Print, Radio and Television/Cinema.
Two new Award categories are being added to the London International Awards this year as a reaction to how advertising is continuously changing. These are the Out-of-Home Category which includes all advertising that is not aired either on television or in cinemas but aired in a public forum and are not scam ads. The second new category is the Corporate Videos/Films Category.
2005 JURY PRESIDENTS: Advertising: Neil French, WPP Worldwide - Worldwide Creative Director; Jury President: Integrated Media; Outdoor; Print; Radio; Television/Cinema. Neil French has enjoyed a spectacular career, working for a number of advertising agencies as their creative force. These agencies include Batey Ads, Holmes, Knight, Ritchie, the Ball Partnership and Ogilvy & Mather. Joined Ogilvy & Mather as the Regional Creative Director for Asia-Pacific in 1992. Five years later he was promoted to Worldwide Creative Director of O&M in 2002 he was named Worldwide Creative Director of the entire WPP network.
Interactive: Robert M. Greenberg, R/GA, New York - Chairman/CEO/Chief Creative Officer. Jury President: Interactive Media. Greenberg founded R/Greenberg Associates (now R/GA) in 1977 with the idea of creating a company that valued design and innovative technology, focusing on feature films and television commercial production. He successfully transitioned the 300-person plus company into an interactive advertising agency, specializing in database-driven information and multi-channel e-business. Greenberg has won almost every industry award for creativity including the Academy Award, LIA, Cannes Lions and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Communications in 2003.
Design: Karen Welman, Pearlfisher, London/New York - Executive Creative Director. Jury President: Design, Package Design. An award winning- graphic designer Karen Welman jointly runs a successful design consultancy, Pearlfisher, employing 45 people. They have been winners of the LIA Grand Prize, Design Effectiveness DBA award 2004 and voted 2nd design agency of the year by Marketing Week. Her laser like persistence in the pursuit of both excellence and fun has gained her a formidable reputation, one that her clients and colleagues treat with the utmost respect.
