Making a Mark at Bank of Ireland Arts Centre |

DUBLIN, IRELAND.- The Bank of Ireland Arts Centre is pleased to present "MAKING A MARK" an exhibition of paintings by Dublin artist JOHN NOLAN. The exhibition will be officially opened by Noel Dempsey T.D. Minister For Communications, Marine and Natural Resources.
As colourful, vibrant and superbly crafted as ever, John's latest paintings set out to make a personal lasting mark on everyone who has the opportunity to enjoy them.
"MAKING A MARK" refers to the physical birth of the image. Each of John's energetic paintings starts with a first brush stroke, a simple mark, which is carefully augmented and developed over time into its final form. For John, an artist is ultimately a mark-maker.
This is John's second exhibition at the B.O.I. Arts Centre, following on from numerous solo and group exhibitions in both Ireland and abroad. His work has represented Ireland at The Florence Biennale, December 2003, is in private and public collections world-wide and has featured in various national and international publications. John's next solo exhibition will open in Frankfurt, Germany, September 2005.
