CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.- Sears, Roebuck and Co. will get back its Andrew Wyeth watercolor titled "The Studio" that was stolen in 1967 from the Sears-Vincent Price Gallery at 140 E. Ontario St. Leo Wagner, a former antiques dealer, relinquished his claim of ownership on this work. Sears agreed to pay $7,500 to the dealer, although the work is estimated to be worth around $500,000 dollars. Wenger had tried auctioning the work in 2000, but Christie’s in New York discovered the work might be stolen and notified the FBI. The FBI still keeps the work at the Art Institute of Chicago.
