Las Vegas might be known as Sin City but its not just fun and games here, as there are brilliant works of art to view. They keep visitors to the city amused between trips to casino tables and ensure that you can even get a bit of culture while on a stag weekend.
Whether youre looking to view modern art, classic paintings or perhaps catch a performance you can find it all in this city.
Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art
Going back to 1998, this gallery is one of the newer ones in the city of Las Vegas but it has an exciting collection all the same. They are located right on the Strip, which is highly unusual, but boast all the modern elements youd want from an art gallery. They even have free Wi-Fi, if you cant be parted from
rated casino sites for very long then new generation casinos can be accessed as you browse the artwork.
They are partnered with the Boston Museum of Fine Art and regularly borrow some of their most famous Monet paintings to show. Other than this big name, the museum prides itself on hosting everything from Warhol to Faberge, so youre bound to be captivated. The modern space also helps set all of these pieces off and they are expertly curated.
Contemporary Arts Center
It can be all too easy to overlook this building within the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, as it is decorated in the same style as many of the illuminations. With an orchard of dazzling lights outside, this center might be a stand out anywhere else but in this city it can get lost in the background.
This building houses sculptures and videos from some of the up and coming artists in the area. Nestled in the industrial sector of the city, they look back on the industrial revolution through a new lens. The distinctive walk down through this industrialised area is a must, as it gets visitors in just the right mood and headspace to enjoy the artwork.
Lou Ruvo Center
Its hard to miss the structure of the Lou Ruvo Center, as it is decorated with the work of renowned architect Frank Gehry. The massive building is encased with flowing metal pieces that reflect the brilliant pieces therein. Find this gallery on West Bonneville Avenue and feel free to browse the work of acclaimed sculptors, who are mostly friends of the architect.
This center allows patrons to donate or purchase some of the artwork from the artist themselves. If youve won big on the tables at your chosen Vegas casino then why not splash out on an original? These can range from a few inches high to many feet tall, so be sure to choose something that you can transport home!
Cosmopolitan's P3 Studio
If you want to catch some serious performance art then this is the place to do so. Having hosted MK Guth and her new take on Rapunzel, the P3 Studio is a hotspot for performance artists. The sight of this artist was something to behold as she sat with hundreds of meters of hair braided into her own. You might not be expecting a fairy tale to come true in Las Vegas but this artist made it possible.
The chilled out atmosphere of the studio is one of its biggest assets and its even possible to grab a few beers and shoot some pool while youre there. This is the perfect place for those that want their art to be unpretentious and filled with fun, with a chance to talk to the artists too.
