| Images of Children and Guns Provokes Controversy |

YORK, UK.- Artist Noirin Carmody has created a series of images featuring guns and children. One of the images includes her son blindfolded and a gun pointing to his head. The exhibition is on at the York City Screen and has provoked a public outcry. Some of the people think that the images are not acceptable.
Ms. Carmody defended her work saying: "These are fictionalised images that reflect on the reality that guns are in our society and are being used in our society. That is the disturbing fact and not the art that reflects it. I produced the work as a thought-provoking piece and I really believe it was important to use children in the images. Guns are being used by young people in society. My son and daughter were happy to roleplay the fictional narrative in the images."
City Screen manager Tony Clarke said, "It is important that the images go up so people can see the issues that are being addressed by the exhibition."
