Charles Saatchi Offeres 6.25 GBP For Hirst Shark

LONDON, UK.-Art collector Charles Saatchi was offered £6.25 million for Damien Hirst's famous 14-foot tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde. The work, entitled The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living, was commissioned by Mr Saatchi in 1991 for £50,000. Hirst originally purchased the shark from Australia for £6,000.

A spokeswoman for Mr Saatchi's London gallery said a deal could be reached in the next few weeks.
