GHENT, BELGIUM.- The Design Museum in Ghent presents Maarten van Severen through February 27, 2005. Maarten Van Severen is a big hit in the international world of design. His designs which are produced by renowned design manufacturers such as Edra, Vitra, Bulo..., are sold worldwide. His designs are characterised by their profound simplicity and their powerful aura. The fact that the objects which he designs are extremely comfortable to sit or lie in and that they are easy to use, is a plus. What he wants to achieve is to make a piece of furniture look 'as if it has always been there'.
