RICHMOND, VIRGINIA.- A new bill passed by the Virginia General Assembly will affect Virginia museums. The bill provides for a new study to examine how the state can assist miseums without giving them money. This could include giving the museums advice on fund-raising or how to select board members. The bill will now go to the Senate. Lise Swensson, the executive director of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, stated, "Our emphasis has been to try and plan for the future...to be workable and to be more fair."
