GLASGOW, SCOTLAND.- The Scottish Executive announced that Glasgow’s museums will benefit from a £3m investment programme. £1m will be used for the refurbishment of Kelvingrove museum, with the rest being directed into the city’s other 12 museums and galleries. Culture Minister Mike Watson said the investment would support the future development of arts in the city. Glasgow has lobbied for special status for its arts collections, which are the largest in the UK outside London.
