NEW YORK, NY.- Paddle8, the leading online auction house, announces Through Warhols Lens, a sale dedicated to the photography of Andy Warhol. Featuring more than 40 black-and-white Gelatin Silver Prints and color polaroids, the range of works present a visual diary of Warhols world: from intimate snap shots of celebrity friends to behind the scenes views into his process for portrait commissions from 1974 1986. Beyond the bold-faced-names, these works also offer an intimate snapshot into Warhols artistic process which often began with a photograph or polaroid. By the later years of his career Warhols portrait commissions were a focus of his artistic output, famously stating: Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art.
