LONDON.- This summer Anna Masters' latest artworks brighten the prestigious 45 Park Lane Hotel, London. The Suspended Animation exhibition of romantic, intricate and ethereal pieces is the centrepiece of a charismatic show organised by Cube Gallery and Ackerman Studios.

Anna Masters' Suspended Animations incorporate wall-based pieces, three-dimensional works and site-specific installations.

Creating complex and incredibly delicate compositions of natural and found materials, Anna's work is characterised by the way the materials appear to float mid-air, creating a sense of an enexplicable moment, frozen in time.

The materials she employs - predominantly natural, found or recycled items - expose Anna's love of forms and attraction to detail.

Though often organic in their appearance, each composition is thoroughly planned, often using geometry, symmetry and matemathics for the design of a complex net of nylon strings from which a variety of materials is suspended.

Particularly apparent in her Suspended Animations is a preoccupation with the resistance to time and change, and the paradox of inevitability, which is crystallised by her use of watch parts and butterflies.

While her butterflies, symbols of change, are prevented from completing their life-cycle in her pieces, the watch parts - the very mechanics of time - are suspended motionless while time progresses regardless.

Born in 1982 in England and now based in Kent, Anna graduated from Staffordshire University, UK, in 2005 with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art.

She subsequently gained a distinction for her Masters Degree in Art Policy and Management from Birbeck, University of London.

Anna was awarded a grant from Arts Council England in 2013 for the development of her mixed media works and since her MA graduation she has exhibited widely across the UK and overseas. She has participated at a number of public art projects, such as Elephant Parade (2010 and 2013-14), Jungle City Edinburgh (2011), The Big Faberge Egg Hunt (2012) and the City of London Festival (2012).

Her mixed media pieces have received recognition at Art Fairs all over Europe, Asia and the United States.
