MONACO.- Over the years, the Principality of Monaco has hosted an increasing number of varied artistic events. Home to art galleries and internationally renowned auction houses, it has become an important place in the art world with its fairs, exhibitions and cultural events.

Galleries and auction houses established in the Principality have chosen to join forces around the same objective: to promote their rich and diverse activities, and contribute to Monaco’s cultural reach on the local, regional and international scene. The Monaco Art Week association is the result of this shared desire.

The first event initiated by the association is MONACO ART WEEK. It will take place between 26 and 29 April 2018. All the Principality’s neighbourhoods will be involved in the event, in conjunction with the artmonte-carlo fair at the Grimaldi Forum and Nomad at La Vigie.

At the same time, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo and the Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo will reveal their new productions at the Grimaldi Forum. During this bustling period, when Monaco takes centre stage, the intention is to appeal to all those who have come to discover and nourish their passion for the arts, whether they are novices, onlookers or experienced art-lovers.

There will be 15 participants for the first edition of MONACO ART WEEK: 11 Columbia • A.Pallesi Art Gallery • Artcurial • De Jonckheere • Galerie Grippaldi • Galerie Retelet • Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo • Kamil Art Gallery • l’Entrepôt – Daniel Boeri • M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne • Moretti Fine Art • nm>contemporary • Opera Gallery • Sotheby’s • Wannenes Art Contact

Every gallery will offer an original programme to mark the occasion. As for the auction houses, they will contribute by organising various events. Marked by numerous gatherings and its enthusiasm, MONACO ART WEEK is keen to be considered as one of the most attractive events in the Monegasque cultural calendar.

Visitors will easily be able to find their way around the Principality and reach the exhibition spaces thanks to a map/itinerary. In order to facilitate mobility between the different participants, transport will be specially organised to enable visitors to travel.
