LONDON.- Two dresses from Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2007 Ready-To-Wear collection, which was inspired by the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, are to be sold at Bonhams, Knightsbridge as part of its Vision 21 sale on 30 June 2010 at 1pm.

The dresses are among the first to be sold at auction since the death of the celebrated designer on 11 February.

They include a gold sequined dress, described by Vogue as ‘the Queen of the night’ on the eve of the Paris show, and most recently seen on Australian pop star Holly Valance at the Brit Awards this year, a few days after McQueen’s death. It has attracted a pre-sale estimate of £12,000 – 18,000.

The show, which at the time was described by The Daily Telegraph’s Fashion Director, Hilary Alexander, as ‘one of the designer’s sexiest’, also featured a peacock feather dress. This is also to be sold at Bonhams and is estimated at £10,000 – 14,000.
