The Vinyl Factory on 29th April.
The Vinyl Factory, which is hosting Graces first ever London art exhibition, will be taking preorders for the bespoke art & vinyl edition, which includes the Hurricane LP, Graces first album of new material in nineteen years.
Limited to just 500 copies, Grace Jones by Chris Levine: Hurricane will be presented in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with unique screen-printed front cover artwork of Grace Jones by Chris Levine. Inside, along with two super-heavyweight 200-gram records, mastered for vinyl, and released on record for the first time, will be a Giclee fine art print of Chris Levines Superstar image of Grace Jones. In addition, each of these art & vinyl editions will be numbered and signed by both Grace Jones and Chris Levine. This one-off limited edition can be ordered from www.vfeditions.com and is priced at £300.
Also on offer from 29th April will be a series of limited edition fine art prints of Chris Levines highly collectible artworks, due to be showcased at the much anticipated new exhibition, Stillness at the Speed of Light. Prints include the iconic Superstar image above, which also comes in A2 size, featuring sequential images of Grace. This has been created in two different colours, and will go on sale alongside two triptychs, Superstar and Stillness.
Grace Jones' great gift in identifying zeitgeist artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean Paul Goude and Eiko Ishioka, continues with this new and exciting collaboration with Chris Levine and demonstrates the evolution in holographic portraiture. Chris is a unique artist with a rare sensibility for the use of light. Renowned for his 3D and still images of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, he has now gone on to create a series of stunning 3D holographic portraits of the legendary Grace Jones.
'Stillness at the Speed of Light,' which opens to the public at The Vinyl Factory in Soho on 30th April, will showcase the extraordinary alchemy between this iconic individual and leading cutting-edge artist. The show will also be used to launch Graces new video Love you to life, directed by Chris Levine.
