This is the first major exhibition at Gallerie d’Italia dedicated to Giovan Battista Moroni, and comes after Intesa Sanpaolo’s aim to present the artistic career of the Italian artist as it has never been done before. Part of the official programme of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023, the exhibition is realised with loans from the National Gallery, London, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, the Gemäldegalerie - Staatliche Museen, Berlin, the Musée du Louvre, Paris, the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, National Gallery of Art, Washington and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
