. Native American, Southwestern United States, Pueblo, ca. early 20th century CE. This is a beautiful hand-built polychrome pottery jar made using the traditional coil and scrape method with applied toad handles! The piece rests on a stable, flat base, the walls swelling upward creating a broad shoulder with a low, thick rim. Estimate $2,400 - $3,600.
Late 19th C. Italian Walnut Wood Bracciale Game Racket
. Central Europe, Italy, ca. 1876 CE. An unusual hand-carved walnut wood type of sporting equipment known as a bracciale, to use in the Italian ball game Pallone col bracciale translated to "ball with bracelet" and often known simply as "bracciale." Estimate $2,400 - $3,600.
18th C. Spanish Ivory Santo Head of Woman, Human Hair
. Western Europe, Spain or Spanish Colonial Period, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. A hand-carved Santo head of a woman made from elephant ivory with glass eyes and human hair. The piece is made in 3 parts: the cranium with a hollow interior cavity, the sliced "skull cap lid," and the wig- the interior was carved out in order to insert the glass eyes. Estimate $1,800 - $2,700.
19th C. Chinese Camphor Wood & Leather Export Trunk
. East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. late 19th century CE. This is a gorgeous camphor wood trunk with a brightly painted surface, brass fittings, and a leather trim. The wooden slats are strengthened by a brass frame and the leather flaps protrude from three sides of the lid to cover the lip seam. Estimate $1,400 - $2,100.

A wonderful basket handwoven from white willow bark and Devil's Claw to present a planar base, towering walls adorned by brown and beige stair-steppe pattern, and a herringbone rim over a deep basin.
