BRONX, N.Y.- Photographer and writer Simon Nathan, 82, died. He wrote columns on technical breakthroughs on photography in magazines like Popular Photography, Modern Photography and others. He also produced photography books such as “Good Photography’s 35mm Handbook,” “Good Photography’s Darkroom Guide” and “Camera in Paris.”
He was very interested in panoramic photography. He used his panoramic techniques for photographic stills for Hollywood films such as "Waterloo," and "Khartoum".
He was born Simon Morris Nathan on July 28, 1921, in Westview, Pennsylvania.- He studied at University of Dayton.
