This file photo taken on September 23, 2019 in Paris shows a painting entitled 'La Dérision du Christ' or "The Derision of Christ" by the late 13th century Florentine master Cenni di Pepo also known as Cimabue, that was discovered in a French kitchen and which was sold on October 27, 2019, for 24 million euros ($26.6 million), about five times the initial estimate. French Minister of Culture Franck Riester on December 23, 2019, has decided to refuse the issuance of the export certificate for this major and original work by early Renaissance master Cimabue (c. 1240-1302), thus conferring on it the status of 'national treasure' for a period of thirty months. Activists carry a metal sculpture of the so-called Negro Matapacos (slang for "Black Copskiller") dog in Santiago on December 20, 2019. The social movement that broke out in Chile in October had no leaders or political flags, but it does have an icon full of symbolism, the Negro Matapacos, a dog that poses in a thousand versions these days, even in heavenly murals turning it into an angel of the street. The mongrel -which died in 2017- had rose to fame in another wave of protests that shook power in 2011, when university students claimed quality and free education. Martin BERNETTI / AFP

A picture taken on December 22, 2019 shows a detail of the bronze statue of iconic football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic after it was vandalised and had its nose chopped off in Malmo, Sweden. In Malmo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's hometown, his supporters felt the iconic footballer could do no wrong, but his decision to invest in a rival club was an unforgivable sin to many. Since announcing a month ago that he was buying a stake in the football club Hammarby IF, based in Sweden's capital Stockholm, Ibrahimovic's bronze statue in Malmo has been regularly vandalised.
