BOULDER.- Important Egyptian Limestone Relief - Goddess Hathor. Egypt, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18 to 20, ca. 1570 to 1069 BCE. One of the finest pieces offered in this auction! Very large and wonderfully rendered high relief sculpture of the Goddess Hathor. Hathor was often shown as a woman with the ears of a cow, and often a solar disc upon her head. Provenance: Ex-Simonian Collection, Switzerland, acquired before 1983. Estimate: $30,000 – $40,000.

BOULDER.- Greek Attic Black-Figure Neck Amphora, ex-Museum. Ancient Greece, Athens, the Antimenaean tradition, ca. 510 BCE. An impressive neck amphora adorned in the traditional black-figure technique, the imposing form with an echinus mouth and tripartite handle, all supported by a torus foot, with hand painted scenes on both sides. Estimate $50,000 – $70,000.

BOULDER.- Roman Marble Relief - Nude Satyr, Panther, Maenad .Roman empire, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. Very fine marble relief, most likely a panel from a sarcophagus, depicting a standing Satyr, shown nude with good musculature, one hand reaching down toward a panther at his feet, a maenad with long flowing gown and section of nude left leg. A very showy piece! Size: 11-5/8" x 11-3/8" + Custom base. Estimate $18,000 – $25,000.

BOULDER.- Exceptional/Large Ancient Roman Mosaic - Autumn Season Near East, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. This is one of the Four Seasons series which was a favorite theme in antiquity. Almost a perfect square, this finely detailed example features polychrome tesserae of blue, turquoise, green, pink and red set against a ground of cream. Estimate $85,000 – $100,000.

BOULDER.- Rare Ancient Scythian Gold Jeweled Diadem Elements Near East, from area that is modern-day Ukraine, Southern European Russia, and Crimea, ca. 5th century BCE. BOULDER.- Chinese Ming Dynasty Stucco'd Head with Crown China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 13th to 16th century CE. Stunning stucco head of a princess or empress. Her beautiful face shows slightly pursed lips, eyes partially closed, pleasantly rounded face, long earlobes, dark hair pulled back wearing a colorful crown, perhaps the Phoenix crown which was worn by empresses, in shades of blue, green, red and pink. Estimate $8,000 – $12,000

BOULDER.- 19th C. Japanese Lacquered Wood Shrine - Shaka Buddha Japan, ca. 1880 CE. Small lacquered and gilt wooden shrine of the Shaka Buddha (Siddharta) flanked by bodhisattvas (Monju Bosatsu and Fugen Bosatsu). Buddha is seated in the lotus position with his fight hand in Abhaya Mudra (gesture of fearlessness) and left hand in Vara Mudra (gesture of charity). Estimate $2,000 – $3,000.

Impressive copper mask painted with red cinnabar stripes, having almond-shaped eyes and danglers attached underneath nose, eyes, and around the sides and bottom of mask. Estimate $18,000 – $22,000
