Renoir Painting Missing From Tajan Auction House
Tete de Fillette (Young Girl's Head) by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
PARIS, FRANCE.- Tajan Auction House reported the work titled Tete de Fillette (Young Girl's Head) by Pierre-Auguste Renoir missing on Tuesday. It is estimated to be worth around 200,000 euros. The work was scheduled to be auctioned yesterday. Tajan auction house announced that there were no signs of break in. The oil canvas belonged to a lawyer.

Tajan, with over 104 specialised auctions, 36,000 works of art consigned and almost 10,000 purchasing and selling customers, achieved a turnover of 68.4 million euros in 2003; thus confirming its position as one of the leading player in the French Art Market.
