Julien's Auctions gives sports enthusiasts the opportunity to bid on rare sports memorabilia

BEVERLY HILLS, CA.- Julien’s Auctions has announced an exclusive sports memorabilia online auction for sports enthusiasts. Sports fans and collectors from around the world have the opportunity to bid on memorabilia up until Monday, June 9, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The vast array of memorabilia includes a historic collection of items from one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive Muhammad Ali memorabilia collectors. In addition, fans have the rare opportunity to bid on Carmelo Anthony’s 2004 Olympic Bronze medal, property from the life and career of Evander Holyfield and game worn items and memorabilia from sports icons that include Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Jerry Rice, Wayne Gretzky, Pele, Andre Agassi and more. Several game worn jerseys from Basketball, Baseball and Football legends are also included in the exclusive online auction.

Highlights from the collection of Muhammad Ali memorabilia include items from every stage of his career including rare programs and tickets from the 1959 Golden Gloves and 1960 Olympic Boxing Trials, items from the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics where Ali (Cassius Clay) won the Gold medal in the Light Heavyweight division, tickets and pennants from his early career and on-site programs.

One of the first modern era USA Basketball Olympic Medals, Carmelo Anthony’s 2004 Olympic Bronze Medal, will be offered. Other online highlights include 1949 National League Rookie of the Year and the 1955 National League MVP and Cy Young Award winner Don Newcombe’s 1957 Brooklyn Dodgers game worn home flannel jersey, Evander Holyfield’s fight worn boxing gloves from his first World Heavyweight Championship victory against Buster Douglas, trunks worn in the ring against George Foreman, game worn baseball jerseys and jackets including Derek Jeter’s 1998 World Series attributed New York Yankees jersey, Thurman Munson’s circa 1970’s New York Yankees jacket, Frank Sinatra and Sandy Koufax’s personal team-issued Los Angeles Dodgers jackets, Barry Bonds’ 1986 Pittsburgh Pirates rookie year game worn road jersey Number 7 and game worn items from legends including Nolan Ryan, Rod Carew, Tony Gwynn, Eddie Murray, Albert Pujols and new Dodger’s sensation Yasiel Puig. Other highlights of the exclusive online auction include game worn items from Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Larry Bird, Shaquille O’Neal, John Stockton and Patrick Ewing, soccer great Pele, Jerry Rice and Cristiano Ronaldo. Los Angeles Clippers game used backboards from the Staples Center in Los Angeles round out the offering.
