Crystal Bridges Hires Director of Member and Guest Services
BENTONVILLE, ARK.- Kathryn J. Roberts has been named Director of Member and Guest Services for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Roberts, who begins her new position, has more than 30 years of leadership and management experience in the fields of museum development and membership, marketing, management and sales. She has most recently served as Development Manager at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.

“Kathryn Roberts is an excellent addition to the Crystal Bridges team,” said Sandy Edwards, deputy director of museum relations. “Her successful track record in museum management combined with her expertise in customer service and sales provide the right leadership for creating and directing these two essential programs that will create an excellent museum experience for members and guests.”

During the past four years at the High Museum of Art, Roberts has been responsible for planning and executing strategic fundraising efforts, including events for members and donors. From 2001-2006, Roberts served as Manager of Membership Guilds, then Director of Donor Relations for the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta.

Prior to her museum experience, she held marketing positions with Rollins College and Emory University, Stein Educational Division of Phoenix Communications, and her own company, Kathryn J. Roberts, Marketing Consultant. Additionally, she was in retail management for seven years.

Roberts, who is fluent in Spanish, holds a bachelor of arts in communications with distinction from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
