SHEBOYGAN, WI.- The John Michael Kohler Arts Center presents Intersections: Shifting Identity in Contemporary Art, on view through December 31, 2006. Paintings, photographs, and installations by artists who honor and preserve their heritage while emphasizing a new sense of cultural identity. Participating Artists: Simon Sparrow (1925-2000) and Luis Miguel Suro (1972-2004); Kori Newkirk and Hung Liu (CA); Bernard Williams (IL); Lalla Essaydi (MA); Siona Benjamin and Willie Cole (NJ); Rina Banerjee, Nicolás Dumit Estévez, Luis Gispert, Yun Fei Ji, Brad Kahlhamer; Pan Xing Lei, Shahzia Sikander, Do-Ho Suh, and Ouattara Watts (NY); Amita Bhatt and Robert Pruitt (TX); Truman Lowe (WI); and Wang Qingsong (China).
