BEIJING, CHINA.- Lei Guoya, from Beijing, has filed a lawsuit against the Palace Museum because many of the areas of the Forbidden City are closed for renovation and he claims there is no clear notice of this and the entrance fee is the same.
Lei Guoya stated, "I didn't know anything about the restoration even after I had bought the ticket at the full price. Only on entering did I find the Hall of Supreme Harmony padlocked and many 'No Entry' signs around the construction site." Lei said.
The People's Court of Beijing's Dongcheng District has already filed the case. An official at the museum stated the museum set several notices on the construction and also held a press conference on the renovation.
Lei Guoya further stated, "I have longed to visit the Hall of Supreme Harmony, but I couldn't enter it even if I had paid the full price."
