Miquel Navarro at Valencian Institute of Modern Art
Miquel Navarro, Fluid in the City (detail), 2003.

VALENCIA, SPAIN.-IVAM, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, presents Miquel Navarro, on view through February 26, 2006. The IVAM has recently been the recipient of a major donation by artist Miquel Navarro, one of Spain's sculptures with the greatest international influence. The incorporation into the IVAM's holdings of over five hundred of the artist's works from all periods of his career clearly make our museum a focus for the study of this artist's work.

Gallery 3 of our Julio González Centre will be the setting for a showing of a selections of over three hundred works from an extraordinary holding dating from the years between 1964 and 2005 including his early watercolours, drawings, and paintings as well as small and large scale sculptures, divided up into a number of thematic areas: the portrait, the human body, insects, moon, night, ther city.
