PHOENIX, ARIZONA.- Arizona attorney and arts benefactor Edward "Bud" Jacobson, 82, died in Phoenix. He was nicknamed "Mr. Art." He served on the Phoenix Art Museum board for more than 30 years and donated more than 200 paintings worth millions of dollars. He was also a benefactor and board member at the Heard Museum. He helped develop the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona.
Jim Ballinger, director at the Phoenix Art Museum, stated, "In Arizona's visual arts, he's probably the largest figure. I don't know how you describe all the things he's done here."
