I have always been a thorough reader. Traveling, eating, watching, playing, there was always a book in my hand. Even when it came down to preparing for my exams, I read more than I wrote. But then during my second year in college, I was introduced to the French language. A fascinating language with words that sounded as beautiful as its country of origin. When I started taking up the classes, I thought, sure it will be difficult, but nothing that cannot be overcome. Little did I know that it was going to be a nightmare for me. The first few days were a breeze but then slowly the classes started to dig deeper into the language and I was forced to write French.

While everyone else had gotten a grasp at the language, I still tried to read more and find my way out of the toughest parts of the language. The course works, essays, there were so many assignments, I couldn't wrap my head around them. One thing was clear, for all the reading I have been doing, my English writing was good, but converting my English thoughts into a French-language essay, it was a tough fight.
