Photographing in Casinos

Meta description: Planning on taking some photos inside casinos? Our expert team has devised some tips on how you can click the perfect photos without drawing too much attention.

Photographing in casinos is still controversial whether or not it is legal or not in certain places. All casinos generally have a no photographing policy. Don't worry over it because the worst thing that can happen is that the casino staff will ask you to leave or delete the photos from your mobile. Keep in mind that they do not have the legal right to take check your camera or take it.

If you are thinking about asking permission from them, think again. As photographing is not allowed in casinos, you are most likely to be refused from taking pictures inside the casinos. The best you can do it - Just take it! If you ask them, they are going to say no. Taking a picture after that would land you into more trouble.

If you are worried about the complications, you can always screenshot from your mobile if you are playing at online casinos. You will find a great variety of online slots and popular classic games like Blackjack. Click here to find the best Blackjack casinos with attractive offers and promotions in the market.

If you really want to try your hands in photography at the casino, make sure to use a small camera. If you take in a large DSLR, it can draw unwanted attention. The worst part is that you can get thrown out of the casino. Make sure that the flash is off. The last thing you want is a flash right in the face of the pit boss or the dealers! Most casinos are well lit enough so, avoid the flash if you are up to it.

Do not try to snap other guests or club members. Never try to photograph Poker dealers. Although it is not illegal in some casinos on the Vegas strip, but these usually do not work well in most cases. Chances are that the pit boss will not like it and will ask you to leave. Generally, clicking your win moments hampers the smooth play of the game.

Being a photographer inside a brick and mortar casino is tough! Move all the time! If you stay in a position for too long photographing a particular place, chances are that you will be spotted on the Casino CCTV and busted by the pit staff. Do not try your luck with videos. Clicking a single photo is much easier than panning around the room. However, both are illegal so you have to keep that in mind!

If you really want to photograph the inside of the casinos, then head to a photography friendly casino. Some casinos in Las Vegas allow you to do so, such as Four Queens, where photography is encouraged by signs. Harrah’s Las Vegas allows photography as long as the customers and guests are not photographed.

In case, you get caught during the action, stay polite and reserved. Don't let the interaction escalate. The security guards may act overzealous, but do not lose your temper. Tell them that they are for personal use and not commercial. If they ask you to delete the photos or give them the camera, do not comply with them. They do not have the legal rights to do so.

It's a tough job out there. Most casinos have strict policies regarding photography. So the best bet you have is to go to a casino where photography is legally allowed. Or, you can suck it and go undercover!
