Paddle8 x Elle Decor launch charity auction
Lindsey Adelman, Shady Side Candelabra, 2015, estimate: $12,600.

NEW YORK, NY.- Today Elle Décor and Paddle8 launched NOT FOR SALE, an online auction of thirteen unique collectible works that were commissioned by Elle Décor and featured in the magazine over the past year, which had no price tag. Each of the thirteen artisans including iconic designers and creators like Oscar de la Renta, the Haas Brothers, Heath Ceramics, and John Derian, whose work is featured has chosen a charity to benefit from the sale. The auction will be live to bidders worldwide January 22 – February 5, 2019.

Sale highlights include:

de Le Cuona & Oscar de la Renta, Liquid Teal Velvet Dress, 2018, estimate $42,000
Bernie de Le Cuona coaxes untapped beauty out of traditionally glamorous velvet. Her cotton blend Liquid Teal fabric has the sheen of "an exotic cat," as she puts it. The quality of de Le Cuona's work inspired Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, the creative directors of the fashion house, Oscar de la Renta, to make this dramatic cape-back strapless gown. Proceeds from this sale will benefit Four Paws UK.

Lindsey Adelman, Shady Side Candelabra, 2015, estimate: $12,600
This limited-edition wall-mounted candelabra is rendered in solid polished brass. Candlesticks are adorned with hand-sculpted 'fungus,' evoking natural phenomena. Proceeds will benefit The David Lynch Foundation.

Haas Brothers, Ariana Oeuf-ington "Fairy Berry", 2018, estimate $5,500
This unique piece is part of The Haas Brothers' Fairy Berry series and hand-thrown in ceramics. Ceramic and brass in Lavender color-way. Proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project.

Donald Robertson, Donald Robertson’s John Derian Picture Book Silk Screen Prints, 2018, estimate $4,000
Donald Robertson’s screen print set of 12 hand pulled silk screen lip prints signed and numbered and collaged with John Derian Picture Book (Artisan) in a linen portfolio box set. Proceeds will benefit The Center.

Julian Bedel, Paraíso (00), 2017, estimate $600
World-renowned Buenos Aires-based perfumery, Julian Bedel has created an intoxicating mix of flowers, resins, and wood he calls Paraíso (00) - literally paradise - a place that you cannot buy, but now you will be able to smell. Proceeds will benefit Help Argentina.
